What’s changed
Edmund’s in beta, so it moves quickly. Here’s the running list of what’s changed lately, newest first. I only put things here once they’re actually in your hands.
July 2026
Latest- Brain dump modeTalk for two minutes about six different things and get six notes back, each one triaged on its own. Switch the capture screen from Note to Brain dump, pause for a beat between thoughts, and Edmund breaks the ramble up for you. They land in the Inbox to confirm, same as ever.
- Keep your transcripts, or don’tEvery brain dump keeps the full text of what you said, and every note links back to it. Settings ▸ Data ▸ Brain dump transcripts lists them all, lets you read or remove any of them, and will clear them out after 30 or 90 days if you’d rather they didn’t pile up. Kept forever until you say otherwise.
- Send a note to Apple CalendarRoute a thought to your calendar as a proper event: pick a time, pick which calendar, and it lands there linked back to the note. An event isn’t a task, so it leaves the note where it is until you deal with it.
- Reminders in Apple RemindersSet a reminder on a note and, if you like, have it show up in its own “Edmund Nudges” list in Apple Reminders too, each one linking back to the note. It stays off until you switch it on.
- Done means doneFinish a note and its reminder clears out with it. No leftover nudge, nothing greyed out waiting for you.
- Capture with SiriSay “Edmund note”, dictate your thought, and it drops straight into your inbox to triage later, no app to open.
June 2026
- Bold, italics and lists in notesThe note body keeps its shape now, so a captured thought can look like the thing you meant.
- Relate notes to each otherLink related notes together by hand, both ways, so a train of thought stays joined up.
- Note types you can shapeTurn off the note types you never use, so triage only reaches for the ones that fit how you think.
- Hand a note to Apple NotesSend a note straight into Apple Notes from the route sheet, formatting and all.
- Seven more places to routeJira, Asana, Notion, GitLab, Shortcut, Todoist and ClickUp joined Linear, GitHub and Apple Reminders.
Earlier
- Export everythingA one-tap backup of every note as Markdown and JSON, attachments included, straight to a file you keep. Nothing’s ever locked in.
- Reminders and inbox nudgesSet a reminder on any note, and get a gentle daily nudge when the inbox is starting to pile up.
- Priority, a safety net, and the basicsPer-note priority, a 30-day Recently Deleted so a mis-swipe isn’t the end of the world, and the capture, voice and triage the whole thing is built on.
