Route a thought to Linear

When a captured note is ready to become real work, send it to Linear as a properly formed issue. Title, description and labels, all filled in.

How it works

From a thought to a Linear issue

  1. 1
    Capture and let Edmund triage
Type or dictate it. On-device AI reads it and files it into the right project.
  2. 2
    Tap Route, choose Linear
Pick the team and any labels. Edmund suggests them from the note.
  3. 3
    Tidy the title and send
Edit the title and body if you like, then it lands in Linear, linked back to the original note.

Bulk confirm is risky if it includes shaky classifications, so skip anything the model wasn’t sure about, under seventy percent.

Once it’s routed

Route it here.
Finish it in Linear.

Routing isn’t a one-way dump. A real issue appears in Linear, it stays linked to the note, and finishing it there flips the note to Done back in Edmund.

A new issue appears in Linear

The summary becomes the issue title and the full note travels across as clean Markdown, dropped into the right team, sitting in your backlog, ready to pick up.

Any per-project defaults you set (labels, priority, assignee, Linear project) are applied as the issue is created, so it lands actionable, not just filed.

Move the issue to a Done or Cancelled state in Linear and the note advances to Done, one direction only, and it never re-opens a note you’ve already closed.

What carries over

Everything the issue needs, already filled in.

Title
The note’s one-line summary becomes the issue title.
Description
The full note travels across as clean Markdown.
Team & status
Dropped into the right team, sitting in your backlog.
Labels
Suggested from the note’s type and tags.
