Route a thought to Reminders

Send a captured note straight into Apple Reminders, on-device, with no token, no OAuth and no network. It just works.

How it works

From a thought to a reminder

  1. 1
    Capture and let Edmund triage
Type or dictate it. On-device AI reads it and files it into the right project.
  2. 2
    Tap Route, choose Reminders
Pick the list, or set a default per project so you rarely have to.
  3. 3
    Done, it’s in Reminders
It lands in your chosen list. Complete it there and the note flips to Done in Edmund.

Once it’s routed

Route it here.
Finish it in Apple Reminders.

Routing isn’t a one-way dump. A real reminder appears in Apple Reminders, it stays linked to the note, and finishing it there flips the note to Done back in Edmund.

A new reminder appears in Apple Reminders

The summary becomes the reminder and the full note becomes its notes, dropped into whichever list you chose for the project.

Complete it in Reminders and the note advances to Done, one direction only, and it never re-opens a note you’ve already closed.

What carries over

Everything the issue needs, already filled in.

Title
The note’s summary becomes the reminder.
Notes
The full note travels across as the reminder’s notes.
List
Lands in whichever list you chose for the project.
Two-way done
Complete it in Reminders and the note marks Done.
Get started

No account. Just grant access.

Reminders is on-device through EventKit, so there’s no token, no OAuth, and nothing leaves your Mac or phone. Grant access the first time you route and you’re done.

On-device · no account
Coming to the App Store
  1. 1
    Grant access
The first time you route to Reminders, iOS or macOS asks permission. Allow it.
  2. 2
    Pick a list
Choose the Reminders list each project should route to, and set a default so you rarely have to.
  3. 3
    Route your first note
It lands in that list. Complete it there and the note flips to Done in Edmund.

It’s on-device via EventKit, so there’s no account, no token, and nothing leaves your device. Turn it off any time in system Settings.
