Triage keeps filing things in the wrong project. What do I do?
Sharpen your project descriptions, not your AI settings. Triage reads the descriptions far more than the names, so “Work stuff” buys you nothing, while “Client work for the studio: bookings, invoices, chasing masters, anything involving Sarah or Dave” gets notes landing correctly on their own. The other usual cause is two projects that overlap enough that even you would hesitate between them. Merge those.
Projects and areasWhy does a note say “Review” when it looks obvious to me?
Because triage came back under seventy percent sure and would rather say so than pretend. It happens more on short notes with little to go on, and much more on older devices, where the basic matching engine deliberately never claims high confidence. Treat it as a prompt to glance, not a sign something is broken.
How triage worksDo I have to confirm every note?
Yes, and that is deliberate: nothing is filed or sent onward off the back of a guess. It should take seconds though. Skim for the Review pills, then hit Confirm all, which clears everything and skips anything under seventy percent so the shaky ones stay behind for you.
The InboxIs my voice recorded and kept anywhere?
No. Transcription happens on your device as you speak, and the audio is gone the moment it is done. Nothing is recorded and stored, here or anywhere else. Brain dump keeps the transcript text so you can read back what you actually said, and you can delete those by hand or have them removed automatically.

All of them, any time: a zip of Markdown files, a JSON file with the full structure, and your attachments alongside. It is built on your device and nothing is uploaded to produce it. The honest caveat is that there is no import button yet, so today an export is a safety copy and an escape hatch rather than a restore.
Backup and exportWhy does Siri need such an odd phrase?
Say “Edmund note”. It reads stiffly and there is a reason: Edmund is a person’s name, so Siri gives “Add to Edmund” to Reminders and “Tell Edmund” to Messages, where it cheerfully tries to text somebody called Ed. Leading with the app name is the only phrasing Siri reliably hands to us.
Every way to captureI ticked a note off and its reminder vanished. Is that a bug?
Working as intended. Completing a note clears its reminder outright, and reopening the note will not bring the old one back. A job you have finished should not keep nudging you, and a reminder sat there greyed out explaining why it will never fire is worse than no reminder at all. If it needs chasing again, set a new one.

Also intended. Edmund stops writing new ones, but anything already in the Edmund Nudges list stays until you clear it out yourself. Quietly deleting things from your Reminders app is not a good look for an app you have just told to stop doing things.
Reminders and nudgesDo I need an Anthropic key for it to be any good?
No. The on-device engine is free, private, works with no signal at all and is genuinely good at the job. A key swaps the engine for Claude, which is a bit sharper on long or messy notes, and unlocks nothing else. Skip it and no part of the app is being held back from you.
Using your own AI keyA note went to the wrong place after routing. Can I undo it?
Not from Edmund. Once an issue or task exists in Linear, GitHub, Jira or wherever, it is that service’s to delete, and Edmund will not reach into your workspace and remove things. The note keeps its link, so you can jump straight there and sort it out.
