Route a thought to Shortcut
Turn a captured note into a Shortcut story, dropped into the team and workflow state you choose, with the full note as its description.
From a thought to a Shortcut story
- 1Capture and let Edmund triageType or dictate it. On-device AI reads it and files it into the right project.
- 2Tap Route, choose ShortcutIt’s created in the team and workflow state you set up.
- 3Tidy the title and sendEdit the title and body if you like, then it lands as a story, linked back to the note.
Route it here.
Finish it in Shortcut.
Routing isn’t a one-way dump. A real story appears in Shortcut, it stays linked to the note, and finishing it there flips the note to Done back in Edmund.
The summary becomes the story name and the full note travels across as clean Markdown, dropped into the team and workflow state you chose.
Complete the story in Shortcut and the note advances to Done, one direction only, and it never re-opens a note you’ve already closed.
Everything the issue needs, already filled in.
Connect Shortcut in a minute
Shortcut has no OAuth, so an API token is the way in. Grab one, paste it, and you’re set. A minute, once.
- 1Create an API tokenIn Shortcut, go to Settings → API Tokens and generate one.
- 2Add it in EdmundPaste the token into Settings → Integrations → Shortcut.
- 3Pick team and workflowChoose the team and workflow state each project should route to.
- 4Route your first noteIt lands as a story, linked back to the note.
Edmund only talks to Shortcut the moment you choose to route, never in the background. Remove the token any time from Settings.
